Courtney Amin, PA-C
St. Charles, MO Dermatology Physician Assistant
First Capitol DermatologyMy name is Courtney Amin and I am a physician assistant. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy at Missouri State University in 2008 and moved to the St Charles area with my now husband soon after. I started my career at Mercy Hospital where I worked primarily in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Units. It was during my time at Mercy that I became more passionate about the overall health and well being of a patient and wanted to be more involved in their treatment plan. I then returned to school at Saint Louis University for their physician assistant program only to complete my Masters in Medical Science in 2013. I spent nine years working in
family and internal medicine and am now at First Capitol Surgical Dermatology to pursue my passion of providing comprehensive health care while also being able to participate in procedures and help guide patients through the process of treating their skin cancers/conditions. Receiving news that you have skin cancer can be a frightening concept and being able to explain Mohs surgery and help ease the minds of patients during the initial consult all the way through to helping with their postsurgical wound care/healing process is such a rewarding experience.
I now live in Wentzville, MO with my husband and two children. I have a ten year old girl and a nine year old boy who love to keep me busy! When I am not driving my daughter to dance and my son to taekwondo, I love to plan fun family activities such as going to the Saint Louis Zoo or visiting Main Street in St. Charles to buy books and get ice cream at Kilwins. We have two dogs- a boston terrier named Bleu and a puggle named Baer and they help make our family whole.
My coworkers and the patients at First Capitol Surgical Dermatology have become my second family and I look forward to continuing to help provide care for many years to come.
