Mohs Micrographic Procedure

Mohs micrographic surgery is a specialized, highly effective technique for the removal of skin cancer. The procedure was developed in the 1930s by Dr. Frederic Mohs at the University of Wisconsin and is now commonly used. The procedure is done in stages and allows for the immediate microscopic examination of the removed tissue. This allows for all of the roots of the cancer to be eliminated. The procedure is performed in our office where we can make the comfort of the patient a high priority.
